TRAINING

COURSE

ABOUT

Designed for circus lovers, enthusiasts, artists and performers, this course provides you with a whole month of full time intensive training in the beautiful city of Adelaide. Every week you’ll train two different disciples in addition to tumbling, flexibility and handstands. For specialties, we try to keep the groups as small as possible (often a 1:3 teacher/student ratio) so all students have have as much focused training time as possible.

In addition to full time training, you’ll also get to explore the Adelaide Fringe - the second largest Fringe Festival in the world. Adelaide comes alive with artists and performers from all over the world, and we’re lucky enough to often have them coaching at the Training Course. There are hundreds of shows each week to see and we often offer group tickets to students of the course.

Generally we offer the following specialties:
Duo, Group and Trio Acrobatics
Aerials
Hula Hoop
Rou Cyr
Act Creation and Creative Research
Handstands

Expression of Interests will be opening soon.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
If you are interested in participating in the Training Course, please fill out the form. This is only an expression of interest and formal applications will be sent out later.

Please choose three specialties (1st, 2nd and a back up choice) from the drop down menu.
If your desired specialty doesn’t appear, select ‘other’ and leave a comment to let us know what you’d like to train.
If we aren’t able to offer you any of your specialties we will contact you directly.

If you are wanting to select Duo Acro, please try to attend with a partner. We can try to match people up but if we don’t have a suitable partner for you then we will default to putting you in Group Acro.

The Training Course is predominantly acrobatic and aerial focused. We generally do not offer specialties in flow arts or juggling - Adelaide has a huge flow arts community and you will easily be able to find coaching and social jams outside of the course.

Each specialty must have a minimum amount of participants for it to run, so if you’re after a specialty that is quite niche then we recommend applying with friends who also want to do the course.
